SADHAN (Institute for Social Change) is an organization founded by a woman who affected societal harassment and harassment at workplace. From her life experience she initiates a step to address the violence against women issues she initiates the platform SADHAN (Institute for Social Change) to address the violence against women issues. It is registered under Indian Trust on 10th January 2017 as non-profit making charitable trust.
SADHAN (Institute for Social Change) targeting to enabling environment where violence affected women able to live with dignity and free from violence.
We are aiming to create employment opportunity among disadvantaged and tribal women by providing livelihood option through enterprise promotional actions, which enhance women economic status, dignity and decision making not only within their families also in local self governance structures.
Our aim not to disturbing the family life of people, so we enter into counseling services to control over violence against women.
To achieve this, SADHAN (Institute for Social Change) empowered violence affected women to became a change agent. These change agents carry values of inclusion, mutual respect, equality and democracies the spaces where they live even it in their family or may in community.
To create this supportive environment for violence affected women to take alternate livelihood options and live with dignity. We also engage men and women in their community through community and women development initiatives.
To ensure the transformation lives of tribal women, we work towards extends beyond the empowerment women and their communities. We advocate policymakers and stakeholders to create the platform for non-traditional livelihood options with dignity. We also advocate for the social concerns being considered in livelihood programs for women.
Through our work we contribute to achieving the goal not only economic and social equality for women also control over violence against women and adolescents in Odisha.
